Call of interest: position in ANALYSIS - Group of Academic Recruitment Field - 01/MATH-03, Academic Discipline (SSD) MATH-03/A

The Department of Mathematics at the University of Trento is inviting expressions of interest for a new position at the level of Tenure Track Assistant Professor (RTT, ricercatore/ricercatrice a tempo determinato in tenure track) or Associate Professor (professore/professoressa associato) in Analysis (MATH-03/A).
This opportunity is aimed at individuals (employed either abroad or in Italy) with a strong mathematical background and an outstanding track record in any field of Mathematical Analysis.


Interested applicants are requested to submit their expression of interest to the Department Chair, Prof. Stefano Bonaccorsi, at call.maths@unitn.it, including a curriculum vitae and the academic level of the position they would apply for.

The approximate annual starting gross salary is:
- Associate professor: 56.786,51€
- Tenure Track researcher: 50.682,40€

Note:
The law (art. 44 of Decree Law 78/2010, concerning the so-called "brain gain") provides that 90% of the income received by teachers and researchers that transfer their tax residence to Italy is excluded from personal income tax (IRPEF). Said provision concerns all Italian and non-Italian teachers and researchers who intend to move to Italy to promote the development of research in our country.
The tax relief is applicable for 6 years which shall run from the year in which the teacher/researcher becomes resident for tax purposes in Italy and for 5 years thereafter, provided that they remain resident for tax purposes in Italy. Extension up to 8, 11 or 13 years of the tax relief is possible, under appropriate circumstances.
