COVID-19 AND TEACHING ACTIVITIES: LAST UPDATED ON 7 NOVEMBER
The following courses of the LM (Master) in Mathematics will be taught online starting from Monday 9th November:
-Tensor Decomposition for Big Data Analysis;
-Mathematical aspects of Bioelectromagnetism and Imaging;
-Statistics of Stochastic Processes.
COVID-19 AND TEACHING ACTIVITIES: LAST UPDATED ON 30 OCTOBER
The Department Council held on October 28th decided that, due to the worsening of the epidemiological situation and taking into consideration both the national provisions and the Provincial University Committee's regulations to contain the spread of the Covid-19, the most of the teaching activities of the LM (Master) in Mathematics will be taught online starting from Monday 2nd November.
Only the following courses will continue to being taught in presence for now:
-Advanced programming (prof. Rinaldo);
-Monday class of Algebraic Cryptography (prof. Sala);
-1 module Stochastic Processes (Prof.ssa Mazzucchi);
-All courses of the Curriculum Mathematics and Statistics for Life and Social Sciences.
COVID-19 AND TEACHING ACTIVITIES: LAST UPDATED ON 11 SEPTEMBER
A good part of the teaching activity of the Department of Mathematics will be delivered in presence during the first semester of the academic year 2020/2021.
In terms of the classrooms’ capacity, the teaching offer has been planned according the regulations foreseen for the secondary and high school and it could be significantly modified if new and different rules to access to the classrooms were approved during the next months.
The teaching activities of the first and second-year of the LT (Bachelor) in Mathematics will be taught in presence and the students' participation in the classroom will be rotated according to two weekly shifts. The group not present in the classroom during the week will be able to follow the lessons in streaming.
The teaching activities of the third year of the LT (Bachelor) in Mathematics will be held online only.
Most of the teaching activities of the LM (Master) in Mathematics will be taught in presence (with no shifts) or blended (a part of the lessons will be in presence and a part online).

The online teaching will be guaranteed for all the courses during the first semester.
Before the beginning of the semester, Students will be required to choose they preferred teaching approach - distance or face-to-face learning – and the groups for the LT (Bachelor) biennium will be formed.
